I'm back from my trip... So Happy! Really v fun!
Day 1:Suppose to set off at 9am from Kallang... The blur driver who is a m'sian n unsure of S'pore route sort of lost his way and we set off bout ah hour late.
We reached the custom and was greeted by friendly S'pore custom officers and followed by expressionless ones fr the opp side.

The journey...
We cont'd on our almost 2hours journey b4 we reach Kukup. Our holding place is quite cosy... Only the toilet scared the hell out of me! At 1st I saw that all of them are squating units (which I dunno how to use) and directly lead to the sea! (You can see the sea water below). But heng ah... There are another 3 sitting units so *phew*
Scenes of Kukup:

Welcome!

We had our 1st meal, lunch. Nice home cook food by the owners of the resort. After lunch, some went off to catch a nap, some went to look look see see ard, some had their KTV session in the hall, a few aunties started their mahjong war, We? Hide in the air-con room to be away from the heat (Typical S'poreans!) Haha... Playing Uno, poker cards, talk rot... hehe...
We were serve with afternoon tea. Hot and crispy prawn crackers with lots of prawns (normally s'pore you only get 1 or at most 2 prawns) and with a soothing ching teng. Yummy! I was thinking Wah! sure put on weight liao... After our tea time, the gang decided to move our heavy butt to had a walk at the nearby shops (Actually the sun was setting so no longer so hot and plus the nice breeze due to high tide. haha). We bought fireworks and fire crackers. Most of us were very excited cos they had never set their own fire works. When we went back, we cont'd to hibernate in our aircon room till dinner time.
Oh mann! Just when we were about to have dinner, my KPO gastric attack must come and joine din the 'fun'. I think it is also excited bout the trip that it nearly kill me. Thanks to Bee's ah lao's de magic pill and managed to safe me! In the end, I didnt really enjoy the dinner. Anyway, the dinner was BBQ (sintgray, chicken wings, otah, satay) with cooked food (chilli crabs, fresh prawns, veges, fish balls, chilli sotong)! Fantastic Dinner!

After dinner... The prettiest ladies haha...
Time for our fireworks session after dinner! It was really fun and exciting and BEAUTIFUL too... We had a great session with the 4 kids of the owner of the resort... Playing fire crackers, catching, "fighting scenes", childhood games and photo taking session. I really felt the 'child' in the kids. They are so different from S'pore kids which seem so 'adult'. As compared, the 4 kids are so easy contented, indenpendent and loving over each other. They also had recalled the 'child' in us to play with them.
When we were so exhausted, we went to c the owner and the kids fishing at the back of the resort. I saw a live starfish with 6 arms and a HUGE catfish. Chairman of the Green Club, Mr Jab muz start his lesson on "How to handle a catfish" and "Where is the poisonous area of the catfish".
Supper time! We were served with traditional Teochew sweet potato porridge with nice side dishes. the ikan bilis was so cripsy and fragance!
After a shower (dun really enjoy that cos the env is so tense up cos I very uncomfortable with unfamiliar toilet), we had a KTV session till almost 2+am. When everyone started to feel sleepy, I was like OH NO! I cant sleep how? Luckily, Constance's mummy came and entertain the gang with a new poker game and that kept us thinking and occupied till 5+am.
We went off to the top floor (open area) hoping to see stars but it was too cloudy. As PPY and Jab doozed off at the roof top, Constance and I chit chat till the 1st ray of the sun hit us. Too bad that we couldnt see any sunrise in this area. There is only sunset in this area which we missed it in the evening... sighz...
That marked the start of Day 2...
Day 2:After a wash up and bfast, we were really to go off for our rainforest tracking and kelong visit. Set off at bout 9am. I was freaked out during the trip when we need to walk on the platform with sea below me and you can see it between the filmsy looking wooden planks. The steps at the so-called jetty was so wet and slippery due to the algae. I was feeling so edgy throughout. I hate the feeling of no stablity!

Pls do not litter!
The mangrove rainforest was such an eye opening to me. It was more 'real' as compared to my sungei buloh trip with school. There was this tree top bridge in the rainforest, so... Of cos we muz drop it a visit. Oh my! The edgy feeling came back when I saw the step as we climb up the platform. Each step was narrow and far apart from each other. Worst of all, the stairs was not covered, as in you can see the bottom of the platform. Eeks! I finally made it to the top!
Next was the swaying brigde which nearly drove me nuts. I not scared of height but I hate the feeling of unsecured! But the giant and colourful jellyfish swimming in the rive below me had kept my mind occupied for a while. Another challenge had to greet me when... We need to climb down the platform. AH!
We cont'd the walk into the mangrove forest. Seeing monkeys, orange and blue crabs, fiddler crabs, different sizes of mudskippers... Talking bout mudskippers, in Sungnei Buloh, the class was so happy to see 1 mudskipper. But over here... I see till a bit digusted. Too many and some was really huge! We saw 1 near our resort. It only had its head popping out of the mud but the head is big enough to cook curry fishhead liao. EEEEEEeeeee!

Can you c the tiny orange n blue crab?
We reached the finishing point at this 6 level tall avary tower. Again I was nearly freak out not by having to climb up but by the stairs and coming down again! But the top view was really breathe taking! Oh my god! Greenery everywhere and the river flowing below, nice breeze and lots of clouds. And that was telling us, fast go off, it was going to rain! haha...
Scenes from the top of the tower

Realised the dark clouds is covering the sky?
We hurry back to the jetty and whilte waiting for the boat, the rain clouds decided to spare us and we cont'd to look out for creatures nearby. I saw a viper (sea snake) swimming nearby and of cos more mudskippers!
The boat came and we cont'd to visit the kelong. Nothing special cos I had been there b4. The Archer Fishes were keeping PPY very very entertained! And a batch of irritating ppl made us angry as their actions might kill the fishes fry. TMD them! Next life be fish and let ppl toture back ah.
We went back to our resort after that. Rest, pack our barang barang... We went to enjoy some sea breeze at the back of the resort (Smart ppl get ready faster mah so got time to relax) and I spotted another sea snake. What's with me and snake? haha... When the sun get stronger, we decided to go and have ice kacang. I had that 1 yr ago and I miss that. Yummy traditional ice kacang and now... another 6 ppl were missing the ice kacang. Haha!
Seafood lunch at the restuarant... and we started our journey back home.
Overall, it was a relaxing and fulfilling trip. A real good escape from the city and I love the ppl there. So friendly, helpful and simple! How I wish I can be simpler too.
Conclusion: We will go again ok?
(photos will be updated soon as the gand are still sorting them out)
